Wiking Helikopter Service took delivery of an H145 helicopter in offshore configuration. This brings the company’s H145 fleet to a total of five helicopters, after deliveries of the first two helicopters in 2016 and 2017 and two leased H145.

Wiking helicopters are used to drop off harbor pilots, carry out rescue missions in the North Sea and transport service technicians to offshore wind farms. The offshore H145 will be equipped with a sea state 6 (very rough) certified emergency flotation system, a weather radar and a winch to bring passengers directly to their destination when the helicopter landing or the docking of a boat is impossible.

To finance of this helicopter, Wiking Helikopter used Airbus Bank services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Airbus active in the aircraft financing market.
