Babcock win a new long-term contract with Total  from Aberdeen.

In the first week of operations over one hundred men and women were safely flown from the Offshore base at Aberdeen International Airport to the Oil and Gas fields in the Central North Sea.

The first flights, using Babcock’s fleet of S-92 helicopters, saw the start of operations under a major new five-year contract with Total which will require thousands of passengers to be flown by Babcock.

Contract Performance Manager, Michelle Innes said: “It’s great to see this contract get underway smoothly and efficiently. We’re looking forward to continuing to work with Total for years to come.

As well as flights from Aberdeen, the new contact will also see flights start running from Denmark in January for the same customer.
