Airbus Helicopters has obtained from the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF), as part of its fleet reinforcement program, an additional order for four H225M multipurpose helicopters (previously EC725). This order will bring the RTAF H225M fleet to 12 units by 2021. Specially equipped with emergency flotation equipment, fast rope systems, slings, searchlights and electro-optical systems, four new versatile H225M helicopters will be added to RTAF’s existing fleet of six H225Ms for combat search and rescue, search and rescue, and troop transport operations. The Air Force will also receive two H225Ms from its previous order by the end of the year. The latter contract will also cover on-site technical assistance and continuing airworthiness management organization services, fully supported by the Airbus Thailand team.
